Centrosaurinae is one of the two subfamilies of Ceratopsidae, the other being Chasmosaurinae. Centrosaurines include the members of the family with typically short, rounded and decorated frills; though popularly thought to typically have short or no brow horns and long nose horns, only those closely related to Centrosaurus itself shared these features, the earlier members having medium-sized brow horns and often no nose horns, and the pachyrhinosaurins having their nose horns replaced by a thick bony pad.
As ceratopsians, all centrosaurines are Lightning Dinosaurs.
