In The Big Apple Grapple, Dr. Owen uncovered a rather large piece of Dinomond Amber in the stomach region of a Seismosaurus fossil. Later, the Alpha Gang broke into a New York City natural history museum to steal it, intending to use it to power Zeta Point. However, it supplied nowhere near enough energy to do so.
In Metal Imbalance, Seth launched a small pill-sized capsule of powdered Dinomond Amber into a vat of molten steel that contained a ball of unrefined Alpha Metal. It caused a giant explosion that made the factory "go away" and refined the Alpha Metal into a usable form.
