• Attribute: Grass
• Sign: Scissors
• Usage Condition: This Move sometimes activates after an attack when you win with any move button.
• Effect: After your attack, a thorny vine shoots up out of the ground, whirls around, and smacks your opponent flying for extra damage!

Trivia

• Artwork from one of its various arcade cards is seen on the TCG Move Card Regenerating Whip (Kaku 2nd).
• Along with Emerald Garden and Ultimate Leaf, Thorn Whip is one of the just three Grass Moves in Dinosaur King (excluding DS and TCG Moves) that allows the dinosaur performing the Move to directly damage the opponent instead of summoning another dinosaur to help (or healing). Because of that, these are the only three Grass Moves with which a Grass Dinosaur can defeat an opponent directly and not indirectly (unless the anime manufactures a new manner of using the Move as a tag attack).
  • Of these three Moves, Thorn Whip was the only one that didn't appear in the anime.
