Well, then we have uncovered a mystery! I'm really happy with it, I'm sure you are too.

And btw that same uploader showcased an Eoraptor in a Saurophaganax form, so that's there as well.

  • I found a video on youtube recently and it is of a person opening a Dinosaur King card pack. I don't know what language he speaks or what language the cards are in but it seems to be part of a TCG series called "Jurassic Clash", it says so in English in the description.  The second box he opens is of "Spectral Armor Shock".  The cards are in a different style (probably based on what language it is produced in and what country it is distributed in) I don't know if the TCG card game made a series 8 but this video makes me believe it did.  I wanted to let you know to see of this was worth knowing for you and the Dinosaur King Wiki.  I think it might have something to put on the table but I don't know so I just wanted to tell you.

    • Google Translate indicates Thailand. A quick search reveals many other familiar cards in this "no heading bar" style, so I have to assume it's legit, meaning it's definitely worth adding, at least what little there is. Not sure much beyond the cards' existence, Sign, and Power can be obtained from the video, maybe a stray name or two (like the easy to hear "Caribbean Diceratops"), but there's no way to read the abilities. I'll try to get the clearest still shots possible from the video for each card, but there's not much to hope for. Thanks for finding this.

  • Hello! I was wondering if I could put in some of the DS Game statistics and information on the dinosaur pages. I just wanted a green light before actually doing it.

      Loading editor
    • If the DS game has meaningful statistics, then go right ahead and add them, this wiki needs more DS info. To line up with the eventual dino page format change, put them under a Heading 3 (like this: ===DS Game===) at the bottom of the Heading 2 Dinosaur King Statistics section.

    • As you may or may not have noticed from my revision of your Tyrannosaurus edit, you put a few too many equal signs in the heading format text, that or you tried adding both the format text and the Visual Editor's auto-formatting, I don't know which editing style you use. Best to preview the edit and see if it looks right before publishing.

  • Why does this wiki have information (lots of it at that) on the Taiwanese edition, of all editions?

      Loading editor
    • Because as far as I'm aware (mostly from this wiki), the arcade game only has 3 versions: Japanese, English, and, you guessed it, Taiwanese. I guess that the Taiwanese cards have a slightly different design than the other two or that some cards were first found in cleaner image quality from that version before the others, so its cards are shown or mentioned a lot. Maybe it even had some exclusive waves, thereby earning its place in the spotlight with some unique cards (like the last TCG deck only being in French), but I'm not an expert on that stuff.

Also, pls look at page of Patagosaurus, I have did my complete game arcade game's card statistics in the page.

    • In response to Patagosaurus' edits, I don't think there's a need to duplicate things already found in the General Statistics section, as those are "real world" stats and may change with new information discovered after their cards were printed, and already in several cases what the arcade/TCG cards say (particularly regarding size) is longer accurate (and sometimes never was, like Dacentrurus and Rugops' sizes, as noted at the tops of their pages). Basically, record from the cards that which relates only to the game, as everything else (even as simple as what Megaraptor actually looked like) is subject to change. This was the point of having a General Stats section in the first place, basic information that cards could either get wrong or skip over.

Also, I think that, being irrelevant to gameplay in a dedicated game-related section, the arcade nicknames should go below all of the numerical stats as a "superfluous but interesting tidbit" to learn if one feels like it. Important stuff first, and all.

The setup of nonstandard or multiple element dinosaur pages was always a tricky balance, both with the old system and the one I'm working on implementing, so your suggestions will be taken into consideration and compared with both other strategies before I undertake anything major.

  • I was merely wondering if my edits to the Microraptor and Super Terry pages violated the vandalism policy.

      Loading editor
    • Vandalism refers to replacing the contents of a page with "Bingle bongle dingle dangle yikkity-do yikkity-da ping pong lippy tappy too ta."

Relevant or otherwise needed or not, edits are basically never considered vandalism unless the editor was trying to make them that, so no need to worry about accidentally vandalizing; very often, excessive needless editing would qualify as spam, which is merely more annoying than anything, and I can handle annoying no sweat. I will still review every new edit, and you would hear from me if you're making a habit of doing things wrong. Short of that, watch for if I edit your edits and how I edit them to get an idea of what to do instead.

  • Hey I would just like to know if I am helping or hindering the wiki with my changes to the Microraptor and Spectral Lancer pages.

      Loading editor
  • I feel like we should clarify the Episode page naming scheme. Right now, we don't use episode titles and instead use episode numbers (like Dinosaur King episode 1 and Mesozoic Meltdown episode 1), but we also link pages as their episode titles. I probably came up with this stupid system, but we should probably change them back to their episode titles (is my opinion).

      Loading editor
    • I dunno, I like that the pages are named by their number, it feels "orderly", a standardized base from which to build off of. As you start typing the name as a link, a suggestion for the number pops up, giving a feel for when it happened. And from any episode page, you can just change the number in the url and get to another other episode. It would all be easier if the link suggestions included redirects instead of just the pages they redirected to.

I know I put in the effort to standardize this system, though I may have just been latching onto the system I'd found already present. I also think I put in most of the effort to make the episode name pages into redirects. Checking the edit histories, it was 2012 when I was insisting the names were redirects only, and made at least several episode name pages for the first time (though since some late season 2 episodes lacked pages entirely for a time…).

  • I think these statitics must change like this, as these are original text in arcade cards

    Dinosaur Card statitics:

Name Meaning changed to Meaning of Name

Length: 11 meters (36 feet) changed to Approx.11m (36 ft)

Time Period: Late Creteceous changed to When It Lived: Creteceous Period (Late)

Place Found changed to Where It Found

    Move Card's Dinosaur statitics:

I think "Appear in" is not suitable, as we have "Assist Move Cards"

I hope you can accept this better writing, these will more suitable for the wiki. Im looking forward for your opinion.

    • I actually much prefer the original setup of the General Statistics section, as it's already on every page, it's been like that since I found the wiki ages ago, it's perfectly readable, and, in particular, nothing is gained by changing it; also, it's called "General" Statistics because that section doesn't need to reflect Dinosaur King. The "Appears In", however…yeah, I never understood that one, I just kept it because. Of course, you've probably noticed a place or two where I'm testing out a new format, so pushing your own changes right now isn't really the best time.

        Loading editor
    • So what can I do?

        Loading editor
    • You can keep adding the arcade nicknames as you have been (placed under the number stats, not above them), as well as any Dr. Taylor comments (in Trivia, like you caught on to), just leave the wording of the General Statistics section alone. I'll keep experimenting with my new Stats template and will try to work in anything else useful you find (like the arcade nicknames).
